Day 3

Today you will  discover the interior of the Kremlin – the former residence of the Tsars and now the residence of the Russian President. You will also visit one of the Kremlin’s beautiful orthodox cathedrals. Cathedral Square still retains the aura of early Tsarist Russia, where the spirits of Ivan the Terrible, Boris Godunov and the early Romanovs loom large. You can also visit the Armoury to see its unique collection of ancient state regalia: the ceremonial vestments and coronation dress of the Tsars, gold and silverware by Russian craftsmen, and ceremonial weapons and arms (optional excursion at your request). Guided tour of the Armoury Museum. Its collections represent the wealth of Russian tsars, accumulated throughout the centuries. The first mention of the Armoury was recorded in 1508, when it started to function as the storehouse for the Kremlin’s weaponry. However, within a few decades, the structure had gained the added function of a workshop and a repository for all sorts of treasures of the Imperial Court. In 1813, the Armoury building became an exhibition hall and museum. The Armoury’s collection is overwhelming. It contains such exhibits as the chalice of Yuri Dolgorukiy, the helm and armour of Boris Godunov, a collection of over fifty Faberge eggs, golden and silver works of applied art by Russian, European and Oriental masters, priceless weapons and other works made of precious metals and stones.

Suzdal is possibly the most magical of the Golden Ring towns.

With its Kremlin, market stalls, monasteries and countless little churches, this museum city has hardly changed over the last two-and-a-half centuries. More than 200 architectural monuments from the past millennium are concentrated here. And on every corner, “medovukha” is sold, an ancient Russian drink (a sort of honey beer), where you can try medovukha. We will visit the old Kremlin, the Spass-Evfimievsky Monastery and the Cathedral of Transformation and pass through the open-air Wooden Are Museum and Peasant Life to see traditional old izbas (wooden houses) and churches – all built without using a single nail with other unique cultural and religious objects. Lunch at local restaurant Kharchevnya. Late afternoon drive 184KM to Kostroma (2.6 hours) and stay at local Kostroma hotel Snegurochka. Evening performance with traditional Russian cultural experience and dinner with drinks.

Day 8

Take to you Kilomenskoye park

Morning: today we will take to you Kilomenskoye park, one of the beautiful places in all of Moscow.
Although only a short metro ride from the center, and situated close to one of the city’s most industrialized areas, the park and its awe-inspiring buildings are so steeped in history that not even the Kremlin itself can quite so well evoke the Russia of old. Arriving at Kolomenskoe along a street of drab Soviet tower blocks, you are first confronted by a rather gaudy collection of “medieval” sideshows and souvenir booths, and part of the magic of the experience is the way that this display of touristy tackiness fades from your memory the further you get into the tranquil, rugged beauty of the park proper.
Then we will go to the famous Gorkiy park.
The Central Park of Rest and Culture Named After M. Gorky, to give it its full name, is one of the most famous places in Moscow. Laid out in 1928, this was the first park of its kind, and the prototype for hundreds of others across the Soviet Union. Free time
Evening: Firewall dinner at the restaurant and performance at Bolshoi theatre
